It was the best part of two years coding, and thanks to our community and their fantastic support, we made it to Steam Early Access, our new base camp for 2015. Now the work REALLY begins as we make plans to expand the software, but equally to make what we have 100% rock solid. With over 100 man years experience behind us, and nearly all of it within the game creation field, we've learned some huge lessons along the way. It is my hope that we continue to shield you from the complexity and cost of traditional game development, and provide an experience that allows you to express yourself creatively and produce cool games you can share and sell for years to come.
As you can imagine, the team here at TheGameCreators are super excited to be on Steam, a dream for any indie developer, and as soon as we've found our feet and caught our breath, we're going to build a wealth of tutorials, videos and resources to help you create the game you've always wanted to make, and help you on your way to your first title published on Steam.
Keep checking back to the Community Hub as we start to populate each tab, and do give us your feedback if you think we could be doing something better. Community involvement is part of our DNA, and no critique is too harsh if the result is a better product and happier users.
I have unpacked my rucksack, put the mini-kettle on the camp fire and started brewing up. This Early Access base camp is my new home for the next year, and Steam looks to be my home for the next decade, and so am pleased to answer any questions you might have, we've got an awesome journey ahead of us, and lots of games to make!
